About the Committee

The Internal Complaints Committee (ICC) of RABD Mahavidyalaya, Hansari Madawara, Lalitpur,
has been constituted in accordance with the UGC (Prevention, Prohibition and Redressal of Sexual Harassment of Women
Employees and Students in Higher Educational Institutions) Regulations, 2015.
The committee ensures a safe and secure environment for all students, faculty, and staff by addressing
complaints related to sexual harassment promptly, fairly, and confidentially.

Objectives

• To prevent incidents of sexual harassment within the campus.
• To promote gender equality and create a safe academic and work environment.
• To provide a neutral and supportive process for redressal of grievances.
• To ensure that the dignity and respect of every individual is protected.

UGC Guidelines Overview

As per the UGC Regulations, 2015:

• Every Higher Educational Institution (HEI) must establish an Internal Complaints Committee (ICC).
• The Chairperson must be a senior female faculty member.
• The Committee should include at least 50% female members and student representatives.
• The Committee is responsible for receiving, investigating, and recommending actions on complaints of sexual harassment.
• The proceedings and identity of the complainant must remain strictly confidential.

How to File a Complaint

Any student, faculty, or staff member who experiences or witnesses sexual harassment can lodge a complaint to the
Chairperson of ICC or the Principal’s Office within three months of the incident.

• Complaints can be made in writing and submitted to the Chairperson.
• Alternatively, complaints can be emailed to the college’s official ICC email address.
• All complaints will be handled with confidentiality and sensitivity.
